RC - Solid Showdow 2018

Aside from all my couples, families, kids and weddings, I also spend a lot of time shooting other events. Our family is super active with the RC monster truck scene now, and we spend quite a bit of time at Showtime RC Motorsports races.

This past weekend (April 14 -15) was the Solid Showdown - one of the BIGGEST RC monster truck events - folks came from as far as Wisconsin, Michigan, New York and Flordia to compete, and the competition was TOP NOTCH.  So amazing in fact, that I took over 4,000 photos... yes, more than FOUR THOUSAND photos...

Malmquist Wedding - Christie and Kyle - Kyle House, Fincastle, VA

When Christie contacted me about being part of their wedding day team, I was very excited. They had chosen the Kyle House in Fincastle, VA for their intimate ceremony and reception. This rustic location is stunning. I love the mountains and though Virginia can be unpredictable, the day brought beautiful blue skies.

   

 

 

Ingram wedding - The Mill at Fine Creek

When I was contacted by Tony and Kristen to talk about wedding photographer for their upcoming wedding, I couldn't have been more excited. Combining one of my favorite local venues with amazing folks who I've known for a few years is about as good as it gets. The Mill at Fine Creek is absolutely stunning in March, with everything greening up and starting to bloom.

Although a threatening weather forecast moved their ceremony indoors, we were able to get in a first look and some stunning portraits of the couple on the rocks before the ceremony. Their intimate ceremony included the entire family, and the extended friends and family had a blast dancing and partying the night away.
